While Clandestine Blaze has never released a weak album, Mikko Aspa's seminal black metal project has been of especially high quality over the last few releases, and Consecration of the Blood is no different. What makes this album stand out compared to other, more recent CB albums is its unrelenting, driving fury, which more closely resembles classic CB titles, such as Fist of the Northern Destroyer. Yet another fantastic addition to the catalog and one of the best albums of the year, hands down.
